Crews broke ground in December 2025 and site work is actively progressing: demolition, grading, site utilities, and the base building pads for the 15 acre site.

Fifteen acres of post-industrial riverfront, rebuilt as a place convenient and accessible to the public. Residences and a hotel, shops and restaurants, open green space, and an observational wheel named for George Ferris, who grew up on the North Side.

Getting to Esplanade
Esplanade sits on the North Side where the Ohio River begins, minutes from Downtown. Drive in and park, ride the Three Rivers Heritage Trail to the door, or come by boat.
The Master Plan
More than 1.7 million square feet across two phases: residences, a hotel, retail and dining, office and life sciences, and 8+ acres of public space.
The Riverfront Trail
The Three Rivers Heritage Trail runs through the site, rebuilt as a boardwalk-style path with native plantings and dedicated lanes.

Thousands of construction and permanent jobs, MWBE participation, and reinvestment in the district and neighboring Manchester.
